Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: August 14, 2026
Welcome to Authentic Gem Lab (AGL). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our scientific testing, assaying, scanning, and certificate verification services, whether accessed online or at our laboratory in Rohini, Delhi. By submitting Gold, Silver, Gemstones, Rudraksha, or Diamonds for evaluation, you agree to comply with and be bound by the terms outlined below.
1. Laboratory Testing & Certifications
AGL operates as an independent testing facility utilizing advanced scientific instrumentation:
- Nature of Reports: Grading certificates represent a professional opinion based on scientific measurements (specific gravity, XRF spectrometry, Raman spectroscopy, and radiography) at the time of examination. They do not constitute an appraisal, financial valuation, or guarantee of commercial worth.
- Third-Party Use: Certificates are issued to the customer and registered in our online database for validation purposes. AGL is not liable for transaction outcomes or disputes between buyers and sellers utilizing AGL certificates.
2. User Contact Information Policy
When using our services or submitting contact numbers via our intake processes, you agree to the following terms regarding your contact information:
- Scope of Use: We collect your contact number solely for operational notifications (e.g., report status, specimen collections) and, upon your preference, providing updates on new gems and sales-related information.
- Non-Sale Policy: AGL strictly guarantees that we do not sell, license, share, or lease customer contact details to third parties, advertising networks, or external aggregators. All communication originates directly from AGL.
3. Specimen Submission & Liability
While we take extreme care in handling all specimens, the customer acknowledges that:
- Traditional cupellation (Fire Assay) testing for gold requires taking a minuscule physical sample scraping, which constitutes a microscopic modification of the specimen.
- Items left at the laboratory for extended analysis are kept in high-security, fireproof vaults. AGL maintains insurance coverage up to the laboratory liability limits; however, customers are encouraged to maintain independent insurance for highly valuable assets.
4. Report Verification System
To combat forgery and trade fraud, AGL publishes certificate details, including gemstone macro photography and weight specifications, to our public verification database. Accessing and querying this database must be done in good faith, and any attempt to scraping, clone, or copy database records is strictly prohibited.
5. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with AGL certification services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi, India.
